Running an Audit Log Report Query

Generating an audit report of the activities you performed in Falcon Expert involves selecting a report type and one or more report subtypes, and defining report scope by specifying values for additional criteria such as date range and status.

The following procedure assumes that the project is open in Falcon Expert.

  1. Click Audit Log Reports in the Explore pane to display the audit log report types.
  2. Select either Versioning or Workflow to identify the type of audit log report you want to generate.
  3. Specify a date range for the report by selecting dates from the calendars in the From date and To date fields.
  4. Select a report from the Report sub type drop-down list.
    By default, all Report sub types are selected.
    • Click the Uncheck all option to unselect all Report sub types and then select only those you want included in the report.
    • Click the Check all option to select all Report sub types for inclusion in the report.
  5. Do one of the following to determine the Status of items to display in the report.
    • Click Uncheck all to unselect all status types.
    • Click Check all to select all status types.
    The status types are as follows:
    • Success for reports of successful operations.
    • Failure for reports of failed operations.
  6. Click the Search Logs button to run a query.

    The results for your activities are displayed in a table below the audit query.

    Table Column Description
    Log Id Assigned by the system.
    Report Type Report Type selected from the Audit Log Report pane.
    Report Sub Type Report sub types selected in the search criteria (see individual report descriptions).
    Log Time System time at which activity occurred.
    User Name Your login name.
    Attribute Name Attribute of Report Type or Report sub type (see individual report descriptions).
    Old Value The value of the attribute before the activity was performed.
    Current Value The current value of the attribute that resulted from the activity.
    Session Start Time Time when the session started.
    Session End Time Time when the session ended.
    IP Address IP address of the host machine running the Falcon Expert Application (RMA).
    Status The success or failure of the operation.

  7. (Optional) Select the Export to CSV icon to export the report to a format that can be opened in Microsoft Excel.
