Rule Search

You can search for rules by searching for the rule name or the description of the rule.

To search for rules in all projects, use the Global Search project available from the Home page.

To search for rules inside a specific project, select that project from the Home page.

To define a search on a rule name, define a Search For Any Rule query by filtering on whose name or whose display text (description).

When the rule search is defined, click on the Search icon above the search criteria. The results appear in the right pane.

To search on a rule name (whose name), select one of the following text operators and then enter text for the search:

  • contains match
  • does not contain match
  • exactly matches
  • does not exactly match
  • is equal to
  • is different from
  • starts with
  • does not start with
  • ends with
  • does not end with
  • contains match (ignoring case)
  • does not contain match (ignoring case)
  • exactly matches (ignoring case)
  • does not exactly match (ignoring case)
  • is equal to (ignoring case)
  • is different from (Ignoring case)
  • starts with (ignoring case)
  • does not start with (ignoring case)
  • ends with (ignoring case)
  • does not end with (ignoring case)
Note: You cannot use wildcards to search for rules.
To search on a description (whose display text) within a rule instance, select one of the following and enter the text for the search:
  • matches all words in
  • matching at least one word
Note: When searching for words in the description, case is always considered.

When searching, all the parameter constraints in the filters must be satisfied before a result can be returned.
