Viewing Number of Rules for Tenant
If the Max limit for rules has been set for this tenant,
Falcon Expert displays information about the rule limits and rules in use for the current tenant.
The message at the top of the page details the limits set for both production and test rules and how many of each are in use. If the limits are exceeded, the number exceeded is displayed in red text.
Administrators can set a limit for the number of rules for each tenant. These limits are set in the
Maintain Tenant Limits page in
Case Manager. Limits are set for:
- Test Rules—all rules in the test mode that have been checked into the repository are counted.
- Production Rules—all rules that are not in the test mode but have been checked into the repository are counted.
These limits are not enforced, but administrators have visibility into whether they have been exceeded, and by how much, both in the Falcon Expert opening page message and in the Case Manager Maintain Tenant Limits page.
![]() | Note: The first time you log on after a new installation or upgrade, there is a delay in displaying the correct number of rules while
Falcon Expert counts the rules in the repository. The delay does not impact working in
Falcon Expert, as a background task does the calculations. The values displayed in the message will initially be zero, but the message will be updated when the count is complete. After that first log on, there will be no delay in the correct rule counts being displayed.

If global rules are applied to a tenant, the rule counts for that tenant will not be accurate.
