Submitting a Rule or Ruleset for Approval from the Explore Pane

Users with the appropriate permissions can submit a new or updated rule or ruleset for approval from the Explore pane.
  1. Open a project, and expand it in the Explore pane.
  2. Select the new or modified rule or ruleset from the Explore pane.
    The State of the rule or ruleset will be shown as In Progress with a blue indicator on the workflow status bar at the bottom of the workspace.
  3. Select Approval Requested from the State drop-down list, then click Done.
  4. (Optional) Enter workflow comments when prompted. These comments will be shown in the Approver Activity List and the Author Activity List.
  5. Click Submit.
    The workflow state color indicator changes from blue to yellow, indicating that the rule or ruleset has gone out for approval. In the Approval Requested state, the rule or ruleset is locked by the review workflow and cannot be checked out for editing. Only the author that submitted the rule or ruleset for approval is allowed to change its state from Approval Requested back to In Progress. A rule or ruleset that is In Progress can then be checked out by any author for further editing.
