Writing Effective Rules
Following these guidelines will help you write efficient and manageable rules.
While you can create cases based on demographic feeds, (Customer Information Summary [CIS], Account Information Summary [AIS], or PAN Information Summary [PIS],) you are advised to write only User-Defined Variable (UDV) calculation rules on these feeds and use the UDVs when writing decision rules in the NMON20 project.
Demographic feeds such as CIS, AIS, and PIS are batch feeds whose usual purpose is to drive the data presentation in the Case Manager. You are generally advised to note any changes to these records with a NMON20 record, which also updates the model profile, when necessary. The NMON20 record will also be inserted into the database and presented to the analyst during case investigation. The most recent CIS, AIS, or PIS record should follow the NMON20 record when there is a change so that Falcon can replace the record in the database with the new information.
