Creating a UDV Snapshot Mapping

After you define a user-defined variable (UDV), you can use the UDV Snapshot Mapping page to map it for display in the transaction or authentication grid of the Case Review page in the Case Manager. This page determines whether or not the UDV is available for display as well as the order in which the UDV columns appear in the transaction grid of the Case Manager.
The Falcon Expert project you select in the UDV Snapshot Mapping page determines the view in which it appears in the transaction grid of the Case Review page in the Case Manager. The table that follows lists the projects and their corresponding views in the transaction grid.

Projects Mapped to Transaction Grid Views
  1. Click the UDV Snapshot Mapping icon on the main toolbar.
  2. Select a project that has UDVs you want to map.
If any UDVs have already been mapped, they are displayed in a table.
  3. To add a UDV, click the Add icon, which looks like a green plus sign.
  4. In the Display Name field, enter the name you want used for the UDV as a column header in the transaction grid of the Case Manager.
The Display Name must begin with an alphabetic character. Only alphanumeric characters are allowed in the name. The use of special characters in the name will result in a failure of the name to display in the Case Manager.
  5. In the Description field, enter a description for the UDV.
  6. Select a profile type (Account, Customer, or Service) from the Profile drop-down list.
Authentication UDVs can use the Customer profile type only.
  7. Select the UDV from the UDV drop-down list.
The list of available UDVs is populated based on the profile type you previously selected.
  8. Click Save.
  9. To set the order of the UDVs in the transaction grid, move your cursor over an individual entry. When the cursor changes, click and drag the UDV mapping to the position in the table in which you want it to appear in the transaction grid.
  10. Click Save.
Important: In order for mapped UDVs to be displayed in the transaction grid of the Case Review page in the Case Manager, the SendUDV function must be used in a rule that creates a case.
