Viewing History and Comparing Different Versions

View and compare different versions of a selected rule or ruleset by opening the History page. The page contains information about the working copy and all previous versions.

  1. Open the rule or ruleset.
    It does not have to be checked out to view its history.
  2. Select History in the Version drop-down list.
    A page opens to display two tables: the Working Copy Status table and the Version History table. The Working Copy Status table shows the status of the current version in your workspace. The Version History table displays all the versions of the rule or ruleset that have been checked into the repository.
    Note: The Last Modified timestamp for the most recent version of the ruleset in the Working Copy Status table does not match the Check-In Date for version 3 in the Version History. This is because the Last Modified timestamp indicates the date and time at which the workspace was updated with the latest version of the ruleset, not the date and time that the ruleset was last checked in.
  3. To see the contents of a specific version, click the icon in the View column of either table.
  4. To compare two versions, click two icons in the Compare column in the Version History table, then the Compare link at the top of the Version History table.
